Malia Howell
will perform her Senior Vocal Recital on Sunday, November 18th, 2018 at 5:00 pm
at Cisel Recital Hall in fulfillment of her Vocal Performance and Music
Education degrees. Miss Howell, a native of Arlington, TX and Billings resident
as of 2013, has studied voice with Prof. Douglas Nagel since 2014.
In Texas,
she was a longtime student of Natalie Mitchell and part of her high school
choirs, orchestra, and musicals. She has continued choral work in the Chamber
and University Choirs in her college career, and has expanded to performing
often with the Nova Center in both musicals and operas. Lead roles consist of
those in Old Maid and the Thief, Don
Pasquale, The Scarf, and The Lantern
Marriage.
Accompanying artists on Miss Howell’s recital include pianist Tim
Schoessler and mezzo-soprano Marisa Getchell.
Works by de Falla, Boulanger,
Marx, Rossini, Larsen, Lehrer, and Whitacre comprise the musical selections.
Recital admission is free of charge and seating is open.
