Benjamin Roberts, 14, will be giving his debut piano recital on Sunday, July 24 at 7:30pm in Cisel Recital Hall on the Montana State University Billings campus.

Benjamin is a sophomore at Billings West High School and a connections student studying with Professor Dorothea Cromley at the University, where his father is the Director of the Library.

Benjamin has competed on the piano in many local and state competitions. He placed second in the Music Teachers National Association State Competition last November and received the highest rating possible at the State Music Festival in the spring.

He is an active member of his church where he plays the organ. At West High School he plays the trumpet and is first chair in the Symphonic Band and Jazz Band. He is also active in sports, where he participates in cross country and baseball.

Roberts will be performing works by Scarlatti, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Chopin and Liszt. The performance is open to the public and free of charge.
