With the temperatures beginning to rise, so begins the preparation for the 34th annual Summerfest at Montana State University Billings.
The family-oriented festival, presented by the Associated Students of Montana State University Billings and the Student Activities Board, is scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the grounds of the university campus at 1500 University. Festivities will be held on the lawn between McMullen Hall and the Student Union Building.
An inflatable bouncer, a 40-foot obstacle with a slide, a bungee run, a dunk tank, face painting and jousting will highlight this year’s Summerfest.
New to this year is a silent auction to benefit Relay for Life as well a variety of emergency response vehicles on display for families and kids to get a photo taken with.
For those looking for eats, free cotton candy and snow cones will be available while they last. A barbecue picnic costs $5 a plate.
